"I took out my Triton today. B

"I took out my Triton today. Boat ran great this morning. After fishing for an hour, started the boat and tried to get on plane. The motor bogged down, then quit, restarted, tried again, was able to slowly get on plane and was able to only get 4600 RPMs. I contacted my mechanic and was told it was a fuel issue and need to try to squeeze the primer bulb. I squeezed the bulb, it got hard, then went soft. I then opened the gas cap to allay vapor lock. Despite my efforts the boat repeated its symptoms. The mechanic then told me I need to replace the primer bulb and gray fuel line. The reason for the fuel line is possible impact of ethanol. DOES THIS SOUND RIGHT??"

Hey guys had somewhat the same

Hey guys had somewhat the same trouble.1994 mercury 60 hp oiled enjected.I replaced the fuel filter;gray fuel line with primer bulb from tank to motor.When i took the old line off;placed it in a white bucket;there was big chunks of black primer bulb rubber.Make no wonder why this thing didn't want to go fishing.Since then i replaced fuel filter new fuel line with primer bulb and a new filter on the new gas line from the primer bulb to the motor.}}
