First post here. Any hope would be greatly appreciated.
I just bought a 2004 Maycraft boat with a 90hp Mecrcury two stroke. Went out for the see trial when I bought it and everything ran great. Took it out after work four days later and everythign still ran great.
Went out on the lake today and the trouble started. The boat was running fine, when I started to get a beeping sound from the center console. The beeping sound stopped as soon as I slowed down. My initial thoughts were overheating or low oil. The engine was pumping plenty of water and I filled it up with oil but a few minutes later the noise started again. The noise would go away as soon as I started slowing down but returned after a few minutes of running again.
I did the smart thing, ran back to the dock and pulled the boat out of the water. The sound does not happen when running at idle. The only things that are different since taking it out last week is the installation of a radio and USB charger.
Has anyone else experienced this?
