Hello,
I recently replaced the regulator on the motor because I saw some discolored wires.
I ran the boat about a month later and the trim up/down on the control and key ignition switch would only work intermittently. The console gauges and auxiliary continued to work. The Trim up/down switch on the motor continued to work.
I removed the cowl and played with the regulator wires and the ignition and trim up/down started working and was able to restart the motor. I made sure the connections were secure but ran into the same problem again.
It would appear there is a loose wire, but based on the wiring diagram from the repair manual I cannot identify which is the culprit.
Any idea what is causing this, or if I need to focus on relay, etc.?
Thank you very much for your time.
