I have a 2004 Mercury 90 hp 4ELPTS that sat for a couple of years. Had a mechanic come do a full tune up, and took all 4 carbs off and cleaned them. When he left the motor was running like a top. It set for about 3 weeks until I was ready to take it to the lake. Decided to start it in the yard to double check everything. I noticed gas leaking out the carburetor vent tube. I trimmed the motor up and some gas came out the intake. I also noticed gas coming out of the exhaust. I’m having trouble getting in touch with the mechanic and really don’t want to drop another $1,000 if I can help it. Any help is greatly appreciate! The motor only has 489 hours on it.
