2004 mercury 50 2 stroke performance

im curious why the plastic carb arrestor cover has a label warning not to rev above 3000 rpm with it removed, is this due to leaner jetting? beside performance reed valves, does anyone do performance tuning for this 967 cc 3 cylinder, the timing label shows it set at tdc, would some more advance be an option, and rev limiter drops in at 5700, it would be nice to get close to that rpm, im currently seeing 4800, but the motor was installed 2" too high on this v16 sc tracker, and had cavitation problems, and it wouldnt trim, ive lowered that, and need to get another run in to confirm rpms. what speed can be seen out of this smaller boat?

mercury marine replied the sound attenuator restrics the airflow, and therefore sees reduced jetting, im looking for correct main jet and mixture needle numbers to run without the attenuator, the motor is sluggish on the top end feeling restricted, ill update results
