2004 merc 75hp 2 stroke fuel issue

I recently picked up a bass boat with the 75 merc it has been sitting for about 4 years I went over all the basics, when I had the motor running In a drum of water it was doing fine revving up fine and when I took it to the lake for the first time it idled out just fine when I hit the gas it almost came up on plane then I started losing cylinders got back in put new plugs in once again it idled out just fine but this time it got up on plane then started losing power I pressed the key in for choke and she jumped up on plane and ran somewhat good it was acting like two cylinders were getting fuel now and one was getting to much I have pulled the carbs and cleaned them it has fresh fuel and oil it is mixing oil doesn't seem to be two much I'm thinking the fuel pump might be the problem but wanted to get some advice before I started diagnosing with my wallet.
