Over the weekend while out bass fishing while just doing a easy cruise whenI heard what can only be described as the sounds of gears slipping, it was very loud. It shut down my motor. I checked the prop to see if anything had hit it or if there were weeds on it, no evidence of either. I restarted the motor and now it is making a horible rattling sound. I was able to slowly drive it back to the boat ramp. Took it home and started it up in the drive way. Still makes the rattling sound even it is not in gear. I can shift from forward to reverse without any problems. I orginally thoght it was in the lower unit, now I am not sure. Does anyone have any ideas?
