2004 ME 30 EL Surging acceleration

My 30 hp two stroke surges when accelerating.

I will be cruising at about 5 knots and when edging throttle forward to bring the speed to 8 kts it will bog a little then accelerate to 13 or 14 kts.

Does anyone have any idea what could be gong on, I recently had the motor serviced and carby cleaned.

Open the idle mixture screw 1/4 turn CCW
