2004 Johnson Tilt Challenge

The tilt switch is not working on the shift level. I have current on the connector coming from the motor. I connected a 12volt rocker switch just to see if it worked and it did not move the tilt. It has three pins so I decided to connect a alligator clip to each and test this way. Again is did not work. I was told is could be a relay. It would mean that the two relays went bad at the same time. I need to mention that the switch on the side of motor does lower and tilts the motor. Can anyone help me.

If the switch on the side of the motor works there's nothing wrong with the relays. There's something else wrong in your boat wiring.
