2004 Johnson 25 hp two stroke

Hi my engine runs ok but when I try to accelerate it just dies have new fuel in and pumped fuel through the system by taking the nut of the float.....i have the manual and the setting is 2 1/2 turns which is set correct ...any help would be appreciate...

Clean the high speed jet (orifice plug). It must be absolutely, positively, squeaky CLEAN. But don't be jamming wires or drills through it. It is a precision part and too large a hole is just as bad as an obstructed one.
