"When I shift into gear and motor along very slowly I can hear a slight knocking or grinding noise. The motor is in forward gear and the boat is moving forward at about 1.4 mph. If I move the throttle forward slightly, it goes away. Is this normal and I just have to keep moving faster or do you think my cable is out of adjustment.
My father and I got the boat in 2004 and noted the noise when it went in for the 10 hour check up. Nothing was noted as being done. Last year my father passed away and I didn't even put it in the water. It is back in now. So the noise has been there since new. It was noted to the dealer and it continues to do it. So it is not anything new. I am just figuring it out by myself now.
