2004 JHSN 150 Max RPM 4500

I just broke her in as manual

I just broke her in as manual says.Got to the point where you open up full throttle for 1 minute and she maxed 4500 RPM 35MPH on a 21ft Cuddy.Is that normal?I got almost 6000RPM on my 150 JNSN 1999!?

" not knowing your previous setup or the electronics of the new engine i would just do a double check to makesure the plugwires are all firmly attached to each plug and go from there, assuming it is the same setup as the 1999, I would need more detail to give you a better answer but it sounds as thought either the ECM is limiting you or it is only firing on 5... assuming the same setup was used on your 1999... disconected plugwires will drop 1000 or so rpms and if it is the right one it wont be very noticable. Just a thought.. "
