"I am about to start troublesh

"I am about to start troubleshooting an issue I had last year with my "new to me" pontoon boat. The boat has a 2004 75 hp Mecury 4 stroke on it. if you run the boat straight it goes fine. as soon as you begin to trim it out, it will start to stall, if you cut the wheel hard to either side it will stall..i ahve checked all the lines to make sure they aren't pinched. the motor has a 3 year warranty, but nothin on the boat itself. I would like to eliminate the possibilty of the boat before have warranty work done on it. has anyone ran into this before?? thanks in advance"

"check the fuel tank, sounds l

"check the fuel tank, sounds like the pick-up line in the tank is sucking air. if the tank is built in, get a portable tank and try that for trouble shooting"

"that is something that I thou

"that is something that I thought about. However if the boat is running along smoothly, and I start to trim the boat, it will begin to stall. If I am running through rough water, the boat will be fine, when trimmed the boat angle doesn't change tht much. I definitely agree that starting with a new fuel supply and hose is probably the best. Thanks Again"

Bad seal in fuel hose connecto

Bad seal in fuel hose connector on motor end?
Sucking air into connector when turning or trimming?
Try to use the bulb when it stalls to find out.

"thanks for your suggestions..

"thanks for your suggestions....I will try them out this weekend, I picked up a new fuel line as well..."

"well here is where we stand..

"well here is where we stand....i bought a new fuel line, but my motor does not have the connectors on each end. My fuel line is roughly 3/8 in diameter. It is attached to teh fuel tank with a hose clamp. the line then has a primer bulb on it (Not sure if we even need the primer bulb, motor has fuel pumps on it) from the primer bulb, it connects to the motor at the fuel filter, with hose clamps. I have run the motor out of the water and runs great, i can trim it, I can turn it right and left, and rund fine, will not die out. It appears to only adie out when it is moving along in the water....This is very strange, like I sadi before, this is a brand new motor, 4 stroke 75 hp. any more suggestions would be helpful...

thanks"
