so i have a problem with the shifting on my di.

i can adjust iot to shift into reverse fine, but it will not go into forword gear.
i can adjust it to go into forword gear, but then it wont have reverse.

i can almost get it to go into both, but that being said, ill have it in reves and go to spin the prop to make sure it is in gear, and the shifting rode will bounce up, making the motor go out of gear.

im pretty sure it isnt my gear case as i can get it into gear manuly with a pear of plyers on the shifting rode. and it stays in gear.

could this be my controls? cable?
im completly out of ideas. :confused:

Sounds like bad shift cable. Disconnect cable at the engine. Lock the end of it somehow (small bolt through the hole, to a fixed object, etc) and then gently work the control back and forth. If the "slop" isn't in the box, it has to be the cable.
