"After operating at normal run

"After operating at normal running temperature for a time restarting the engine is difficult until 20 minute cool down. Fresh plugs, cap and rotor, new thermostat and sea water impeller, and new canister fuel filter. Running temp is normal cold starts excellent, smooth running with good power. What might be the cause of the no start after the motor has been running awhile? I have tried what I think is everything."

"Check position of the choke p

"Check position of the choke plate under no start conditions. If the engine is warm, the choke plate should be wide open, i.e. vertical when you look down the carb's throat. When engine is cold, it can be any position from almost wide open to closed (depending on temp)."

"Rob,
Thanks for the reply.

"Rob,
Thanks for the reply. In this last no start situation the choke plate was open and seemed to get plenty of fuel when the throttle went to wide open and back to normal.
Thanks,
Frank"

Try to put the fuel lever at 3

Try to put the fuel lever at 3/4 throttle and attempt to start (but be prepared to bring it back to idle as soon as the engine starts running!!!).
