I have 12volts to regulator, if I jump out regulator with screw driver nothing. The starter does nothing ???

Motor is not seized.

Kill switches both with lanyard keys in.

Connections are clean.

Main fuses look good.

Since I also have no power to trim tilt could that mean there's a throttle neutral switch issue?

More testing tomorrow

Verify grounds.
Thank You!

I found the main power had hidden connections, inside that black ripped wrap hose. Two lugs connected with steel rusted bolts. This is on both POS and NEG legs cleaning that up and replacing with stainless. Also the positive wire closest to the starting solenoid had a small cut/damaged wire rubber that water oxidized the internal copper wire now half frayed. I'll be fixing (re-crimping new lug) that tomorrow.

A quick test using jumper cable from Positive side of battery to input of start solenoid proof it would turn starter motor (heard the clicks). I just need to charge the battery.

Hi there Kodi0026

I have the same issue with my outboard I'm intrested in where you had found that hidden connection. Would you be able to take a photo on the motor or the wiring harness where it's located.

Thanks
