2003 Mercury optimax 225 hp

I've been having trouble getting my optimax to start, it cranks but wouldn't run unless air is constantly being released from the valve. Can someone help me, it's my first mercury and I'm stumped.

Put a fuel pressure gauge on it and see what the reading is. Check it with the key on and then while cranking.

If you can get it to fire while releasing the air from the rail tells me you may have a fuel pump issue.

I took put both fuel pimps and clean them. The gauge red 60 psi before it started to run.

What about after you start the engine?

Get a second gauge and attach it to the air rail and see what that reads. You will need two gauges for this engine.

My bad the fuel red 86 psi the air is unknown I'll have to put the part back on the gauge to stabilize it and see what the reading on the air is.
