I've had many small mer outboards but this issue is puzzeling me.
I can't get my 2003 Merc 8 hp 4 stroke long shaft to go into the tilt position unless I lift the black hoop that's half way done the leg.
I realize there should be a super easy solution but it's escaping me.
Any ideas?
yes I've tried changing the shifter, f,n, and reverse.
yes I've played with the lock and unlock tilt option.
