2003 Merc 225 hp pros cons

I'm looking at a 99 pontoon boat that has what the guy calls a Merc 200 on it. I'll attach a pic of the motor tag that he sent me. Are these reliable engines, what would a guy watch for when he goes to look at it ? Im mechanically inclined but know nothing about outboards. All help is appreciated !
