2003 Johnson 50 hp 4 stroke efi engine will not start. "CHECK ENGINE" light troubleshoot Help

I need help figuring out what is causing my "check engine light" and the engine not starting on my 2003 Johnson 50 HP model # J50PL4ST

This is what happens:
When I turn the key for system check I get all 4 lights and the beep then the lights turn off 1 by 1 (like normal). But then the CHECK ENGINE light blinks 1 and 2 times pauses then 4 and 2 times then pauses then 4 and 2 times. It continues in that 4 and 2 pause pattern until I turn the key further to start. When I attempt to start it will turn over but then quit trying right away.

I have a video of the startup lights but not sure how to get it on hear.

Any help is much appreciated. I don't have a local dealer /mechanic

I guess what I am looking for are engine light codes for either 2-4 or 4-2

To heck with the lights. Does it have spark on an open air gap spark tester ??

I don't have a spark tester. So I pulled one of the spark plugs out ,kept it connected to the wire and grounded to the block and turned over the engine and watched to see if there is any spark and the engine started up and ran on 2 cylinders. I replaced that spark plug with a new one, reinstalled it and tried to start and got nothing. So it will start and run on 2 cylinders if that 3rd plug is not installed. and it did reset the "check engine light.
What should I do next?

It is only a guess, but as weird as that is acting you may have a pack going bad. JMO.

So I have swapped the coils around to rule those out. Battery is good. The only way is will start is if one of the spark plugs is removed. Doesn't matter which one or if the wire is connected to it or not.
Any suggestions.
I saw a similar post from "ahmongboi" in 2013 but did not see a resolution to his

Did you try another pack ??
