I have a 2003 honda BF40. I was running along and heard a pop and the tiller jerked like I hit something and then the trim was off. Now I have play in my trim cylinder and I also have play at the tilt mount on the top of my motor bracket where the steering tube is located. Is there a (replaceable) bushing that failed in my trim tube and upper tilt mount that can be replaced or is it worse. I did not hit any thing 150ft deep and clear water. Motor has seen limmited use in saltwater approx. 1 week a year. Trim still works but dont want to make a problem worse or rick my motor falling off the boat!
