Good day . Recently acquired a low hour Evinrude Ficht 115 . The EMM was stolen off the motor. Does anyone know where I could get a replacement or rebuilt unit. Any help greatly appreciated.

Oh wow, that might be a tough thing to replace. The EMM is programmed to the engine serial number and most importantly is also uploaded with fuel mapping data for each injector. You'll have to locate a replacement EMM and find a dealer with the correct software. The next difficult step is to find a source to download fuel mapping data to match the injector serial number. Honestly, I don't know of any source to obtain that file. You might talk to someplace like DFI Technologies and see if they can create the file for you if you send them the injectors. Again, I don't know if that's possible.

Your best bet is probably to find a source where you can purchase an EMM and ALL the injectors together as a complete package and install those on your engine. That is most likely the best option to get this engine running.

A new emm is upwards of $3000 and requires dealer support as stated.-------Perhaps rethink your investment in this technology.-----Your location is ?

This is what I was thinking too, but wanted to lay out the options for the OP.

Starflite, this is a 15 year old engine that had design flaws. BRP bought the assets of OMC, took the basic premise of the FICHT, enhanced it, removed the majority of the flaws, and re-introduced them as the reliable ETEC line of DI 2-strokes. So, what you have is a dinosaur with little to no support from dealers, limited options of private shops that will touch it, and few parts available for the critical systems.....i.e. the EMM and injectors.

Sorry to say my friend, but your probably better off to sell this for parts. If you truly need a cheap 115 for your boat you should look at a '90's Intruder or Fast Strike 115HP. They were pretty reliable, the VRO's worked well (just do the usual maintenance before putting into service), and you can probably find one for a decent price. An Etec 115 would be great if you can find one but the cost will be higher, so it all depends entirely on your budget.
