2003 Johnson J90PLSTC outboard , had shifting problem .removed lower unit changed water pump while i had it off, shift worked fine. when i was reinstalling the shift rod was in a bind going in to motor pan , i noticed the top motor mount was rusted petty bad. would this cause the rod to bind?
