2003 130 hp Honda BF130a - Need help!

I just purchased a used boat with a 2003 Honda BF130. The motor cranks, idles and runs great in a no wake zone. When I give it throttle I begin to reach the apex prior to getting on a plane and the motor maintains RPM's but it does not push any longer until I back off the throttle then it begins to push again. Has anyone experienced this before?

Could be a spun hub in the prop. Could be too large of a prop.

What are the rpm readings when this happens.

What size boat do you have and what is the size of the prop?
