2002 Yamaha F200TX

Motor ran fine last summer with plenty of power but when I took it out this year it does not have the same power. Runs seven MPH slower and turns seven to eight hundred less RPMs. Could this be a fuel problem or if water pump is worn and temp is elevated would this slow it down?

Motor ran fine last summer with plenty of power but when I took it out this year it does not have the same power. Runs seven MPH slower and turns seven to eight hundred less RPMs. Could this be a fuel problem or if water pump is worn and temp is elevated would this slow it down?

After changing water pump I have notice a slight knock or rattle, but not continuous.
