I have a 2002 4 Stroke 225hp Y
I have a 2002 4 Stroke 225hp Yamaha engine that has about 200hrs on it. It is on a 2002 23.5 Scout. Engine runs fine until we get to about 3400rpm and higher. After a 1 minute or so the engine becomes sluggish and causes the boat to slow down to idle speed. Unfortunately the problem is not always consistent. I believe it may be a problem with the fuel pump but we have been unable to locate the problem. Have anyone had this type of problem? Boat is a great boat but this problem with the engine is very frustrating.
