my buddy is having issues starting his engine and we know the low and mid pressure pumps are working fine. what we don't see is any fuel coming out of the high pressure pump when trying to crank her over. my question is, should fuel be coming out of the high pressure pump when just the ignition is turned on without trying to crank it over? I'm thinking it would work just like a pressure washer in that water will come out of the wand even when the pump isn't running. Am I right in thinking this way?
One more question. When you prime the engine and the bulb is hard, does the fuel fill up the VST?
