2002 monetray edge 180 won't go full speed please help

I have a 2002 monetray 180 edge with a 3.0 Volvo I have two problems with the boat. First it won't go any faster than a cruise, meaning when I try to just take off go top speed it won't go, it won't go enough to pull a ski. Can't get it to plane out, trim works.

Second problem is stupid alarm goes off, temp is good, oil pressure is good. How do you just diss one y the alarm ?

Ayuh,... Welcome Aboard,... This is the Mercruiser forum, not the Volvo forum...

Btw,... Change the fuel filters...

You're bad Bondo...LOL.

It may not be sparking at all of the plugs...it only takes one misfiring plugwire to make it a dawg. Did you pull the spark plugs and see if they are good...medium brown color is what you want.

A 3.0l chevy block is the same no matter what man. has dressed it. So... lets start at the beginning grasshopper.

You need fuel,air,spark, and compression.

You need to trouble shoot what your missing.

On a warm engine ,Pull all the spark plugs out keep track of what plug goes in what hole. With the throttle fully down do a compression test, write down the numbers. Now you have a base. Read the plugs.
