2002 mercury 90 2stroke tank

The sensor is inside the tank. Mine fell off and I got the alarm and I posted about repairing the magnet....reattaching to the movable arm, or what. Faztbullet came back and said you have to cut the tank open, affect the repair and glue (seal) the tank back together. Since this is a grounding function, I just unplugged the blue wires coming from the tank and keep an eye on my oil level since I don't want to buy a new tank nor attempt to fix mine considering that I have no experience in glueing that tank back together and it does contain a petroleum product.

It’s a 2002 so the oil soaked float ain’t worth fixing.$100 for tank so I’ll install it sensor should be good cause I got constant beep only 270 hours on motor so I’ll bite the bullet thanks for the comeback

I don't think the 2002 3 nor 4 cyl has a modulator module to make oil fails 10101010......earlier years yes, that year no.. my 90 and 115 are both 2002s. I can look it up if it's important.
