2002 Mercury 200hp Carb Issues

Hello all,

I replaced a 2000 Mercury 150 XR6 with a 2002 Mercury 200 Carb motor for my 2000 Ranger Cayman 191. I bought the 200 with a bad cylinder and had the motor rebuilt. Ever since then, I have had issues. The mechanic that rebuilt and installed the motor is still working with me to get it resolved, I am just looking online to get some other perspectives. If I slowly accelerate from a stop I can get it up on plane pretty good. If I stomp on it, the motor hits a wall at 2,000RPMs for about a second, then jumps to 3,200RPMs and goes up from there as I plane. I am running a 23 Tempest Plus prop which is what Mercury and Ranger recommended. My top speed is only 52 MPH, which I believe is slow from what I am seeing on the internet for this boat. So far, we have replaced two CDMs and my trigger. It seems under powered and we can't figure it out. Any ideas? I was wondering if maybe the carbs were maybe 150 carbs or something like that, but I am grasping at straws at this point. My mechanic is going to get 4 more CDMs and a Stator and going to try those. He seems to think it is an ignition problem. Any ideas what this could be?!

Thanks!

PS- Compression is 125lbs in all cylinders
