Running ruff at idle which from what I've read just comes with this motor. When running at WOT it hesitates almost like it's surging. My tachometer isn't working so I cant be sure what rpms I'm running at but it just doesn't seem like it's running at it's full potential at WOT. Motor will crank when cold and go into gear easily without dieing but after motor gets warm it will die when going into gear. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I solved my rough idle problem by going to premium fuel and Iridium spark plugs with the engine tilted up in the rear a few degrees or so to keep unburned fuel from puddling in the spark plug area...that tilt idea came from Mercury back when they had slanted fisherman engines up to about 20 hp.

On the other problem, have someone squeeze the primer bulb 3 or 4 times before you shift into gear warm. If it doesn't die you could have vapor lock due to ethanol and heat, or weak fuel pump, or clogged fuel line.....for a few guesses.
