I recently serviced my mariner and fitted all the usual bit plugs filters etc but now after running the engine when I shift into neutral the engine seems to rev higher than before. Also there seems to be more exhaust bubbles than before. Any suggestions?

"If it's idling faster that certainly would explain the extra "bubbles".

She should be running about 675 (+/- 25) rpms at idle, in gear.

All tuned up she may just be running better and may require a slight adjustment to the idle timing screw to bring it back to where it should be idling.

Alternately, it may have been running a bit slow and now with the tune up it's actually running correctly and only seems "fast" to you because it was previously under performing.."
