2002 johnson 50 hp J50PLSNF

Need help. Just bought a pontoon with this motor on it. No manuals or any literature. I was surprised to find 2 vents and 2 drain plugs on the foot...never seen this before. The oil was coal black, however no metal shavings. Why 2 plugs and does it take 80/90 oil? What do they use in the power trim and tilt. Really appreciate your response...I have ordered a repair manual. Thanks.

Sorry, there is only one drain and one vent !!!!---------------The 2 phillips screws should not be touched ,as one is a pivot pin for shifter and the other makes sure a bearing stays in position.--------Wait for the manual before doing any work.

ok...thanks. If I put the Phillips back without shifting or moving anything should I be ok?

You might be lucky if the hole is still lined up on the upper one.---The lower one just needs to be in and tightened.
