2002 Evinrude 135HP Ficht Oil Injector Manifold

Hello all. I have discovered a rather pricey situation in my 2002 Crestliner (135HP Ficht Evinrude) . Everything runs and works fine, but there is a small piece of plastic that has broken off the Oil Injector Manifold that retains the fuel hose clip. If you hold the hose in position everything is great, but there is no way to lock the hose into position. I looked online for a replacement part and they only sell the entire manifold, which runs about $2000. I am having a hard time justifying $2 grand to fix 5 cents worth of broken plastic. Has any one had a similar issue to this? Is there any mechanical parts in the manifold that I should worry about if I decided to buy a used one? Any help would be appreciated.

Part number 5000838 (replaced by 5006144)

Edit: added Pic and part numbers.

Thanks,
Tim

If I had that assembly , I think it would be repaired.-----Machine shop might help with running a fine / fine thread tap in there and fitting an adapter.----Your results may vary.

Thanks for the reply. That piece is plastic. Do you think that plastic would be able to be threaded and hold an adapter without breaking?

Fine / fine thread.----Or very , very slight " push fit " with bracket to hold it in place..-----I would certainly repair that.
