"The engine was bought new. Let me start by saying, if you haven't done it , I guess that you will sooner or later! When I went to hook up the battery this year, I CROSS POLARIZED it and blew the slo blow 60 amp fuse. I don't know if that is what is causing my problem.
The engine will start right up and run perfectly, only up to 3000 RPM. There is NO trouble light, or buzzer. Water is streaming out, everywhere that it should. I can hear the HP fuel pump operate when I turn on the key, and the primer bulb stays firm while the engine is running. In the water, I still get a good strong stream that shows that the impellor is working, but, it still won't rev above 3000RPM. Still, NO warning lights, no matter how long I operate it. The warning lights and buzzer test fine when the ignition is initially turned on.
Anyone out there with any ideas? Could I have screwed up the computer in the short time that it took to blow the 60 amp fuse?
Thanks for any help!"
