"I am no expert but I do know from recent experience that, water in the oil is a very bad sign, I had the same problem, turns out it was a bad seal around drive shaft on bottom of powerhead, basically where the lower unit drive shaft goes into the powerhead, required full removal of powerhead to replace a couple $7 oil seals, or in time a complete powerhead. I did both but in reverse order, replaced powerhead, it filled up with water and got ruined then replaced it once again but changed the seals this time as well. Very expensive lesson."

"I am having trouble with a suzuki DF 200 4 stroke
engine backfires sometimes during starting, have had two incidents where it blew the entire intake plastic and metal cover completely offf they were hanging in the water by the throttle cables, alarms going off, runs rough at idle with tach bouncing between 500 and 1100 and sometimes revving up to 2000 and staying there all by itself, took it out for a couple runs and it runs okay, won't go over 4200 rpms though, shuts off when returning to dock and switching between forward and reverse gears. Help please!! somebody"
