My 30 hp stumbles and sometime

My 30 hp stumbles and sometimes stops on acceleration . Happens at about 40 % throtle.
If I accelerate very slowly its ok right up to full throtle and runs ok. I have had carbs synchronized twice but still a problem.
Any suggestions?

"John, not alot of us here work on 4 strokes and many of their "symtoms" are not familiar.

If you have addressed any potential fuel issues (sounds like you have) I would be looking at the ignition system which includes sensors and the ECM itself. Cam position sensor (maybe)?

However, as stated, we don't troubleshoot alot of 4 strokes here. So seemingly unrelated items could be causing the issue.

Do you follow the maint schedule for the motor nearly to the letter?

Have the valves ever been adjusted? oil changed regularly? oil filter?

Again, just suggestions because I personally haven't even begun to see enough 4 strokes to be able to say "if this is happening, why not check that"."

"I would start with the carby

"I would start with the carby or carbies...the carby has three stages an idle, intermidiate and a high speed stage if you have a blockage on the intermidiate stage you will get that flat spot and if you nurse it carefully you can get the motor through it."
