2001 Evinrude 4stroke 6hp leaking oil

"My 4 stroke 6hp started great

"My 4 stroke 6hp started great this spring and ran clean for two weeks, about 30 mins run time. It then started to leak oil (I believe from the carb), lose power and smoke. The bottom of the case is filled with light brown oil and it is discharged with the water.
I had it tipped upright tied to the dock for a week, could this be part of my problem?

Almost certainly . check with your manual on the extent to which the engine can be tipped and how it must be laid down or carried.

Clean up all the spilt oil, check and top up the engine lube oil. If it will run probably the simplest is to run it until the smoke clears but be prepared to clean the plugs if they foul.

If the smoke does not clear and the power return to normal fairly quickly then there may be other issues to investigate.

That's what I would do but maybe others will have some other thoughts"
