I went out yesterday and started my motor and a beep started, I turned off the boat and turned it back on and it stopped. I went out on the lake for approximate 30 mins and it started beeping again, I then turned it off and called my neighbor which whom I purchased the boat from and asked him what the alarm might be about. He stated to check the oil. This is my first oil injected motor, my previous motor was much older. I was looking at the wrong area so it looked out of oil. I had a friend run to my dock and grab more. I quickly added oil and it seemed to only take less than a quart. I then went to start it and it would not start! Please note it did not stall I turned it off. I got towed back to my dock and I tried to start it multiple times. I'm positive I must have flooded it. When my husband got home (1 1/2 hours later) he tried to start it multiple times and it seems to have no spark. It just turns over and acts flooded. Do you think I may have done serious damage? The strange thing is that that the boat always did a beep when you turned it on (I'm told that is what it is supposed to do) however yesterday multiple beeps when I turned it on, it by no means could have overheated that fast. Now no be when you turn the key. I wonder if the sensor is bad, I am almost positive I was NOT out of oil. Thanks in advance, I know this was long, I'm a woman we LOVE to explain things!!!
