I have a 2001 4 HP "ME 4 M" motor - serial number 0T026978.
It sat in my dad's garage for many years, and I recently came back into possession of it, and I'm trying to get some life into it. Mostly successful, but I might need some help with getting over the last little hump.
I've drained all the fuel, replaced the carburetor, fuel filter, spark plug, impeller, lower unit gear oil .. I think that's everything.
Put new, clean fuel in it, and it mostly cranked right up. Might need a little idle adjustment, and when not in gear, it throttles good. In gear, it wants to bog down.
Are there any good threads or resources here on how to property adjust / tune the carb on these little motors?
Here's a photo of my setup. Looking to sell it once I get the gremlins knocked out.
