Hi just wondering if anyone has any ideas on this, was driving along and it felt like I had dropped a cylinder as it seemed to loss half its power, drove back to ramp , comp seemed ok for both cylinders changed plugs still no change boat will not idle properly , when each plug has been removed while motor runs it seems to show that both cylinders are firing, seems to have a rattle noise under the flywheel when idling low

First do a compression test.
The finger test isn't a good test. :)
Even a bad cylinder with low comp can pass a finger test.
Both cylinders should be within a couple pounds of each other.
Then a spark test.
Remove the flywheel to see if anything has come loose.

That check OK?
Then check fuel for water.
Then the fuel pump for a bad diaphragm.
Clean carb.
While carb is off check the reeds for broken missing reeds.

That should keep you busy for an hour or two.
Good luck.

Thx Jerrry will give if a go and let you know, think it may be a coil pack , on the lower cylinder does anyone know if they play up, will start with top cylinder lead on only but not with bottom lead on only, but when running if I knock the top lead of with a few revs it will run ?

But be sure to use heavy gloves and an insulated tool. Seriously. The spark from modern, CD ignitions on OBs can KILL you!
