2001' 115 hp EFI 4 stroke

Starts every time, idles fine till its warm

then idles rough and stalls and hesitates when accelerated

Gas is goood ,Drained the VST ,cleaned out water seperator and in line fuel filter at engine

Found the inner lining of fuel hoses in the filter housing(clear rubber)

I assume the injectors may be clooged its very erratic at any speed

primer bulb is new and good

Any ideas a certainly welcome!

Any newer outboard that has incorporated a number of sensors and an engine computer is far more difficult to troubleshoot.

So your first course of action should be to have the motor checked for trouble codes.

You could chase your tail for days trying to track a "fuel problem" only to find out in the end that you have a bad sensor.

So the (new) order of troubleshooting for sensor driven motors is -

check compression
confirm spark
have the trouble codes read

and then after all the above have checked out, troubleshoot the fuel system....

Well it wasnt the plugs and only does it when warm could be the coils
hmmmm?

VST pump failure due to ethanol swelling up a rubber grommet that holds the pump in the VST
