I have twin 2000 250 ox66s. O

I have twin 2000 250 ox66s. One motor started stalling at higher rpms. After a while it started stalling at low rpms as well. It did appear to be running a bit rough as well. Any thoughts?

Also, I had a similar problem about 10 months ago and the mechanic said that a rubberband somehow was in the fuel and caused a clog. I am not sure where the clog happened. This time, I checked for a clog in the line from the ball to the motor and it was clean. How would I check from before the ball just to rule out a clog? Could I disconnect the line from the ball and place it in a gas container and see if it runs properly?"
