Hello, I am new to the board but have been reading this forum for a few years.

I was in Florida last week and discovered I had a vent issue as it took forever to get gas in the tank and when running at higher RPM my primer bulb would go flat. When I got back I discovered a blockage in the vent line and cleared it (not sure what it was) I also fished out a broken off plastic fuel nozzle from a 5 gallon gas can in the fuel filler line. After these steps I went to gas station and for the first time since I have had the boat (about 3 years) I could fill up full blast. After I put gas in I put the boat in the water, it started right up and seemed to idle much better now that the venting issue was resolved. I just idled around a bit in a cove and took the boat back to the ramp, as I put it in neutral near the ramp the engine stalled and would not crank back up, it will turn over fine but not start.

I am wondering since the fuel is flowing more freely now and the engine was tuned when there was a restriction would this possibly be causing the engine to flood ? I have not had time to check anything but am hoping someone can give me the trouble shooting steps to figure out the issue.

I did check the kill switch and moved shifter from neutral to forward and reverse a few times but this did not help.

Thanks in advance.
