Normally the engine runs great. It's a 2000 Mercury 150 V6 EFI. I run into problems with starting it after I've been on the water for a while and I've shut the motor off. When I go to start the motor back up, it sounds like I have the kill switch on (preventing the motor from starting). If I tilt the motor all the way up, then immediately back down to a level position, the motor starts right up. Other times I've been able to start it back up by flipping the kill switch next to the F/N/R lever up and down a few times. I'm not sure where the problem would be or it's just by coincidence that these procedures work.
