"Does anyone know if a power head from a 1992 mercury 25hp will fit in my 2000 25hp motor? my power head is blown and I found a 92 with lower end problem that I can pick up dirt cheap.

"Jim, from 88 thru 94 the 25's were identical. Merc did make a few changes in the 95 model year when they "redid" all their 25 and below motors, cover, the changes were very minor - 99% of the parts are still the same so the swap should not be an issue..."
