Hello,
I have a 2000 Mercury 175 EFI Saltwater. The motor will crank and run briefly when the engin is trimmed to the up position. However the engine will not turn over if the engine is down or anywhere other than completley up.
Steps already taken :
New fuel water seperator
New Spark Plugs
New Oil Cap was cracked
New fuel line
(ordered anti-siphoning fuel bulb)
The fuel is good and fuel filter is clean
Spayed off butterfly valve
The engine sounds strong when it does fire up but wont stay running. Any advice is welcome.
