"Have a 40hp 3cyl, 2000 vintage. Will start and idle but as I wind up the throttle it wants to kill. Checked plugs, fuel filter, fuel pump, supply hose. Will rev if chocked but dies from over rich mixture. Was told that there is some eletrical function that controls/affects the carbs that could be the problem?? Also told could be a plugged carb, but seems that it should run even on 2."
