" At low idle and when trolling my motor is "spitting" and coughing. It seems to run great above idling. When its cold, it runs extremely rough. Also noticed the bulb is not tight after sitting up a couple of hours. "

Sounds like a "lean"

Sounds like a "lean" condition at idle. I would suspect that one or more of the low speed jets might be partially plugged.
