"Hi, new to board any help will be appreciated.Recently when I use my boat I have picked up a miss, took to mech. and he suggested water in the fuel. I installed a spin on inline filter and did remove some water. The miss has persisted to the point of no spark. Had mech check and there is absolutely no spark. Checked the lanyard on ignition switch and everything is as it shoud be. The miss would happen about ten minutes after leaving the dock at approx. 4500 to 5000 rpm you can start to feel the miss, when you idle the motor back to no wake speed 1200 to 1500rpm it will shut right off like you killed the ignition, but it would start right back up. Now it has finally shut off and has no spark. Thank god for my electric trolling motor.LOL I am new to working on these type engines I have a good understanding with cars but these outboards are new to me any help to point me in the right direction will be appreciated"
